Air Products, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking an experienced Fleet Vehicle Mechanic at it's Reidsville, NC facility.

At his facility, we produce and distribute liquid Oxygen, Nitrogen and Argon to customers throughout NC and the surrounding states! You will report to the Reidsville Terminal Site Supervisor and will be responsible for the maintenance of company owned tractors and tanker trailers.

We are seeking an upbeat, highly motivated, and well organized, self-starter with a strong dedication to safety. We are looking for a teammate with the abilitiy to work well with fellow mechanics, drivers, and operations personnel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as necessary on Class A tractors, tanker trailers, and Class B straight trucks.
• Document/record work performed electronically on computer-based maintenance system
• Perform road repairs when necessary
• Perform electrical/electronic repairs on tractors and trailers
• Ensure fleet is in compliance with DOT regulations
• Manage parts room within facility's budget
• Document/record Hazmat and OSHA requirements

Qualifications:

• High School diploma/equivalent
• 5-7 years strong vehicle maintenance and repair experience
• Strong mechanical background, with some computer experience/skills
• Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12-volt DC circuits
• Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience
• Welding knowledge and experience preferred
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Must be able to work overtime depending on business needs
• Proven work history
• Lead mechanic experience a plus
• Valid Class A CDL preferred though not required
